About GFS
The 13th Green's Function Seminar (GFS) sponsored by Hohai University and organized by Hohai University will be held in Nanjing during November 10-12, 2023. The 13th GFS is aiming at knowledge exchange and experience sharing among scientists and professionals working in the highly specialized field of Green’s function and its applications. During the conference, experts, scholars, and technicians engaged in related industries will have the opportunity to share their scientific research findings and innovative technologies. The conference aims to improve academic research, broaden research ideas, and promote the industrialization of academic achievements. Experts and scholars from both domestic and foreign universities and research institutions, as well as business people, are invited to attend the conference.
Dr. Xiaobo Chen from Bureau Veritas (France) initiated the First Seminar on Green’s Function in Harbin Engineering University (HEU) on July 9, 2011 together with Professor Wenyang Duan who was then Director of DERC project of HEU, Professor Ernian Pan from Akron University who was then on a sabbatical leave in HEU at the invitation of Professor Wenyang Duan, Professor Dongqiang Lu from Shanghai University, and Dr. Yuzhi Dai from Harbin Institute of Technology at Weihai. Since then eleven annual seminars were successively held in Dalian (2012), Weihai (2013), Zhengzhou (2014), Jeju Korea (2015), Shanghai (2016, 2017), Beijing (2018), and Dalian (2019). Due to COVID-19, the 10th GFS (GFS’2020) was held online in January 2021, hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The 11th GFS (GFS’2021) was held online in January 2022, hosted by the University of Strathclyde at Scotland. The 12th GFS (GFS’2022) was held by combining online and offline (Zhenjiang) in November 2022, hosted by Dalian University of Technology.
