Hari Venkatesan joined the University of Macau in 2005 and holds an associate professorship. He also holds a permanent lectureship in Chinese from the University Grants Commission, India. Hari has worked as a professional translator/interpreter for over twenty years. He teaches translation for the media, translation of business/legal texts, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting at the undergraduate level and translation theory, interpreting and Computer Assisted Translation at the graduate level. Education Hari completed his Ph.D. at the National University of Singapore. He completed his undergraduate (B.A. Hons.) and postgraduate (M.A.) at the Centre for Chinese and Southeast Asian Studies at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, and obtained an Advanced Diploma in Chinese from Beijing Language & Culture University.
