He studied physics at University of Buenos Aires, where he completed his Ph.D. in 2003. Since then, he has held different positions: He was member of the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton (2003-2004), Fulbright visiting scholar at New York University (2007), Visiting Professor at Free University of Brussels (2015-2016); since 2005 he is member of the National Research Council for Sciences of Argentina (Conicet) and Professor of Theoretical Physics at University of Buenos Aires. Currently, he is working as Research Scientist at the Center for Cosmology and Particle Physics (CCPP), at the Physics Department of New York University.
