英国Nottingham大学博士,英国Sheffield大学分子生物学及生物技术系、英国Nottingham大学生命科学学院和英国牛津大学生物化学系博士后,重庆大学生物工程学院二级教授、博士生导师及博士后合作导师,重庆市人民政府参事,重庆市学术技术带头人,中国生物化学与分子生物学学会农学分会理事,重庆市生物化学与分子生物学学会副理事长,重庆市“322重点人才工程”第一层次(共30人)人选。曾兼任重庆市第三届政协常委,重庆市第四届人民代表大会代表,重庆市沙坪坝区第十二、第十三届政协副主席,民盟重庆市第四届委员会副主委,民盟沙坪坝区第四、第五届委员会主委,民盟重庆大学第二届委员会主委,重庆大学生物工程学院副院长,江苏省高邮市产业技术研究院院长。主要从事果实成熟、植物激素信号转导、逆境胁迫应答、天然色素生物合成等分子调控机理及蛋白质工程研究。先后主持国家高技术研究发展计划(863计划)1项目、国家自然科学基金5项、重庆市自然科学重点基金1项、重庆市科技攻关项目2项及教育部“春晖计划”、教育部留学回国基金、重庆市自然科学基金等项目10余项。先后在国内外刊物发表论文150余篇,其中国外SCI收录论文90余篇,获权中国发明专利16项。先后指导博士后4名、博士研究生30余名和硕士研究生70余名。
