从事海洋药物、活性物质、海洋生物资源利用、藻类生理等方面的研究工作。主要的研究方向为:

海洋活性天然化合物的药理学研究(抗肿瘤、抗炎等)。

海藻的深度利用研究(藻类寡糖、多糖、蛋白、肽等的结构、药用保健和化妆品产业化开发)
