科研工作:
2001年毕业于新加坡国立大学获分子生物学专业博士。主要从事干细胞生物学的基础研究与临床应用,人类胚胎干细胞定向分化、增殖和调控等研究。2001-2004年在新加坡基因组研究院(Genome Institute of Singapore)博士后研究,在基因组学、蛋白质组学与生物信息学技术平台获得系统的专业化训练。2004 加盟由著名干细胞专家 Alan Colman 领导的国际知名胚胎干细胞国际公司,任高级科学家,进行人类胚胎干细胞定向分化的产业化应用前沿领域研发工作。在人类胚胎干细胞培养建系、胚胎干细胞定向分化心肌细胞技术平台方面积累了十分丰富的技术和研究经验,并在国际上首创研发出干细胞体外定向诱导分化心肌细胞无蛋白 GMP 标准的培养分化技术;国际首先运用 lineage selection 技术对人类胚胎干细胞分化的心肌细胞进行分离纯化,得到几乎100% 纯净的心肌细胞;运用基因芯片表达谱等技术对心肌细胞分化分子机制进行了系统的研究,发现基因表达调控机制和新的基因。上述研究成果已转化为专利技术。2010年回国,目前是厦门大学医学院特聘教授,博士生导师。

研究方向
多能干细胞的研究是目前生命科学与医学研究的前沿领域。多能干细胞在体外诱导能够分化为有功能的心肌细胞,该心肌细胞有望应用于受损心肌细胞的替代疗法,并作为体外模型研究先天性心脏疾病相关的基因及机制。通过确定各类信号分子对多能干细胞定向分化调控的作用机理,探究影响早期心脏发生过程的调控规律,可为临床应用干细胞治疗心肌损伤性疾病提供新思路和重要理论依据。本课题组研究内容着重以下几个方面:
1. 多能干细胞向心肌细胞分化的分子机理及调控网络。
2. 以胚胎干细胞诱导心肌细胞分化为体外模型结合模式动物研究与心脏发育及先天性心脏疾病相关的基因及机制。
3. 以疾病特异性(心脏病)诱导性多能干细胞 (iPS) 制备疾病模型,研究心脏疾病发生机制和药物筛选。
4. 干细胞在心血管临床应用研究,包括人胚胎干细胞高效分化为可用于临床的心肌细胞方法的研发,细胞移植治疗临床前动物模型的建立。
