ProfessorYifeiChenwasborninBeijing,China.HereceivedtheB.S.E.E.degreefromDept.ofElectricalEngineeringofBeijingAgriculturalMechanizationCollegein1984,andtheM.Phil(S.ofMang.)degreesinmanagementengineeringandappliedsciencefromBeiHangUniversityin1991,theM.S.degreeincontroltheoryandcontrolengineeringfromBeijingAgriculturalEngineeringUniversityin1994.Sincegraduationin1984,hestillworksastheresearcherandteacherincollageofElectronic&ElectricalPowerEng.ofBeijingAgriculturalEngineeringUniversitywhichwasrenamedasChinaAgricultureUniversitylater.Afterholdingthepositionintheuniversity,hestudiedfurtherincontroltheoryclassbyIFCAinTongjiUniversityatShangHaifrom1995to1997,wherehecurrentlyholdstheacademicpositionsinresearchlikeintelligentcontrolandagri-ROBOT.Since1998,heisasassociateProfessorandProfessoratCollegeofInformationandElectricalEngineeringinChinaAgricultureUniversity.Porf.ChenalsoworksonagriculturalengineeringresearchandtechnologyapplicationengineeringlikegreenhousecontrolsystembasedonhisnewcontrolmodelaswellashisdevelopmenttoIA(IntelligentAgriculture)theory.Prof.Chenhaspublishedextensivelyincontrolsystems,controlengineering,andmechanicalcontrol,including3books,4editedvolumes,over80journalarticlesandbookchapters,andover30internationalconferencepublications.HeiscurrentlytheEditor-in-ChiefofIJCCE,andmemberofeditorialandadvisoryboardsofseveraldomesticjournalsincontrol,networks,andappliedagriculturalcontrolengineering.HeisaseniormemberofChineseSocietyofAgriculturalEngineering(CSAE),amemberofChineseAssociationofAutomation(CAA),seniorstaffmemberofIntelligentAutomationCommitteeaswellasamemberofIEEE.Prof.Chenhasreceivedseveralawardsandrecognitionsovertheyears,amongwhicharetheOutstandingPaperAwardofChineseScienceandTechnologyAssociationofChina(2008);OutstandingPaperAwardinICINIS(2009),andPostPaperandLecturePrize(2011)ofWEC2011Society(UN)inSwitzerland;OutstandingTeacherAward(2005/2010)ofChinaAgricultureUniversity;OutstandingpostgraduationDirectorAward(2008/2009/2010/2012/2013/2015)ofChinaAgricultureUniversity;HonoraryDirectorAwardforM.S.outstandingpaper(2010)ofChinaAgricultureUniversity.ResearchAreas·SmartEnvironmentofBuilding:Asthenon-linearsystem,theindoorenvironmentofbuildingwillbecontrolledwithno-modelmethodssuchasAI(ArtificialIntelligence)technologyincludingmulti-agents,Q-learning,parallelcontroletc.ThegoalisgettingthesmartenvironmentwithhighefficiencyinBASoperation.·IntelligentControlTechnologyusedinindoorclimate:Basedonintelligentcontroltheory,suchasFuzzytechnologyandNeuralnetwork、expertsystem,considerationplantgrowingneed,thecomfortableparametersincludingdaylight,thermal,indoorair,lighting,CO2etc.canbecontrolledefficientlybasedoncoordinationcontrolmodelProf.Chenpresenting,ontheotherhand,energysavingisconsideredbasedonoptimumcontrol.·Agri-ROBOTcontrolformotion:Usingthefuzzy-adaptivecontroltechnologyandintelligentcalculatingmodel,basedonvisionoptimaltechniquethemainparametersofservomotorinROBOTcancontrolledefficiently,andachievementofthesynchronizationoperationofmultimotors.·GreenhouseEnvironmentControlandIntelligenceAgriculture(IA):Basingonthenewconcept:IA,researchonthemodelandintegrationtechnologyforagriculturefieldsbycomplexlargesystemtheoryaswellasnetworkcontroltechnologyingreenhouse,suchasintelligentgreenhousebasedonplantgrowingmodel.
