Dr Zhiyuan (Terry) Liu - Director of the SEU-Monash Joint Master Program at Department of Civil Engineering, Monash University Dr Liu attained his PhD degree on Transportation Engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011. From September 2011 to September 2012, he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at NUS on container shipping logistics. He joint Monash University in September 2012, as a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering.At Monash University, Dr Liu is the main supervisor of two PhD students currently working on transport network design and management, and co-supervisor of another two PhD students on public transport. Dr Liu has published 20+ high-quality journal papers at the leading ISI journals in his field, as well as 2 book chapters and another 20+ peer-reviewed international conference papers. His publications have been cited 130+ times, with an H-index of 8. Due to his excellence in research, Dr Liu has been invited for public presentations by 12 universities in 4 countries, for 2 conferences (including one key-note speech at the 6th VSASF conference), and 1 invited presentation to Victorian Department of Transport. With his active research performance, Dr Liu has been regularly invited as a reviewer by 26 journals, including nearly all the leading journals in the field of transportation studies. Dr Liu has served on the editorial boards of two peer-reviewed journals, including International Journal of Transportation and International Journal on Civil Engineering & Urban Planning. He has been also invited as an organiser of the mini-symposium “Risk and Uncertainty Modelling for Transportation and Logistics” in the 2014 ASCE-ICVRAM-ISUMA Conference in Liverpool, UK. From September 2013, Dr Liu has been acting as the director in the Department of Civil Engineering of the Southeast University-Monash Joint Master Program. He is leading three courses for the Joint Master Program: Modelling Transport Systems; Quantitative Methods for Transportation Systems Analysis; and Case Studies in Transport Systems.
